
BE A PART OF TENNESSEE’S 2011 HIGHLANDS REDBUD CELEBRATION
A regional Redbud Celebration will overlap the beautiful flowering of the redbud trees next April . . .
• Its vision is a spring regional celebration starring the Redbud Tree with emphasis on the benefits of trees of all kinds to the Highland Communities of Putnam, White, Jackson and Overton counties.
• Its mission is promote activities that facilitates educational, recreational, environmental, and cultural events during the redbud bloom, which brings together the communities and of the Highlands. The event will also encourage participation from across the state.
A Redbud Celebration Committee has embraced the task of providing an umbrella for more folks to be aware of events during the redbud bloom, by creating the ability to find information in one place. Numerous venues will address those activities and festivals taking place in the Highlands of the Upper Cumberland area. A great place to start is at our website, http://redbuds.org.
